Waste Management Plan
Bay Disposal regularly authors, modifies and installs Waste Management Plans for its customers and clients. These plans, in order to be effective, incorporate specific elements:
- Waste Management Goals: A statement to indicate the percentage of the waste stream which the contractor is recycling
- Communication Elements: A precise statement of the communication pathways designed to ensure that all contractor staff and subcontractors on the jobsite are aware of the recycling process and protocols; of particular importance is the coordination with each new jobsite subcontractor and his personnel of the necessity and method of compliance with the Waste Management Plan
- Coordination with Building Material Suppliers to reduce the packaging material waste
- Creation and posting of signage carrying recycling information, most specifically differentiating between acceptable and unacceptable materials
- Placement of clearly labeled and differentiated containers for each type of waste
- Establishment in written form of a concise follow-up procedure to reinforce the corporate commitment to the Waste Management Plan
- Compilation of list of waste materials expected to be generated at each project
- Outline of handling procedures and disposal method to be employed by Bay Disposal and compilation of waste stream facilities’ data including: name, location, and other required data for each of the recycling facilities, reuse facilities, municipal solid waste landfills and other disposal area(s) or methods to be employed
Waste Management Plans are not empty documents. Nor are they window dressing. These are carefully and cautiously crafted blueprints for recycling success
Bay Disposal’s expertise in the construction of these plans guarantees you successful implementation and maintenance of your waste stream management.
