Company History

Bay Disposal, Inc. was originally started in the mid 1970’s by Dwight Schaubach and his brother, Elliott. Dwight decided to enter the commercial trash collection business when he was having a difficult time finding someone to pick up the trash from his Feather and Fin Restaurants. Although the original Bay Disposal was sold in 1989, Dwight continued in the business and in 2000 started the new, and current, Bay Disposal.

Bay Disposal is a locally owned and operated full service trash collection and recycling company serving the entire Hampton Roads Area (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, James City County, York County and Poquoson) as well as the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Our goal is to provide area governments, businesses, condominiums, apartment communities and construction companies the flexibility to meet all of their needs and desires.
